Mangaluru: Moral policing raises its ugly head; couple harassed

Mangaluru: Moral policing has resurfaced again in the city. The incident took place on Monday, when a group of Bajrang Dal members chased a couple and stopped them.

The couple, belonging to different communities, were working in the same shop near Monkey Stand in Mangaluru and travelled together on the scooter. Soon after they were waylaid, a verbal altercation broke out, with youths from both communities gathering at the spot.

Police jumped into action and whiskey away the couple to the Pandeshwar police station.
