Wednesday’s raid was conducted on a case related to Idinabba’s granddaughter Ajmal who along with her husband and children migrated to Syria to join ISIS.

Rahman and his wife are suspected to have collected funds for ISIS and even sharing positive messages for the group on social media.

Rahman’s wife, originally a Hindu, had converted to Islam to marry Rahman after meeting him while pursuing a dental degree in the city here.

NIA, reportedly, has found evidence against Rahman and his wife for recruiting young people from Karnataka, Kerala and Kashmir for ISIS.
