Mangaluru: Pedestrian killed in road mishap

Mangaluru: An unidentified person died on the spot after being hit by a lorry while crossing NH-66 near AJ Hospital in Kuntikana, , on Thursday evening.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be determined.

The lorry, which was traveling from Kottara towards KPT, struck the pedestrian, causing severe injuries as the vehicle’s wheels crushed his head beyond recognition. The body has been placed in the mortuary at Wenlock Hospital.

A case has been registered at the Kadri Traffic Police Station.
