Mangaluru: Post Offices to stay shut during weekend lockdown

Mangaluru: In a release, the office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Mangaluru Division has stated that post offices across the Dakshina Kannada district will be shut during the weekend lockdown.

“In view of declaration of Weekend Lockdown by Dakshina Kannada District…, it has been decided that all Post Offices (Head Post Offices, Sub Post Offices and Branch Post Offices) in Mangaluru Division will remain closed on 08.05.2021 (Saturday),” the release read.

Soon after the district administration announced the weekend lockdown on Friday, a huge rush was seen in markets to stock up on essential items.
