The slab lifting works started on Thursday night with consultation from structural experts from Bengaluru and Kerala and using advanced machinery.
The works were finished by Friday afternoon.
The last slab of the bridge on the Phalguni River, which was built 54 years ago, had sunk 2.5 feet shortly before dawn on June 15.

A new bridge is being built next to the bridge. It is being thought that the construction of the new bridge caused the rainwater to flow only under one slab causing it to sink.
