Mangaluru: Three youths found 'roaming suspiciously' in Kadri Temple; detained

Three youths from different communities arrived on a bike and were spotted wandering suspiciously within the premises of Kadri temple on Thursday night.

The trio has been identified as Hasan Shahin (19), Umar Farooq (21) and Muhammad Zafar (18), residents of Asaigoli.

According to the youths, they were en route from Asaigoli to Katipalla and mistakenly entered the temple premises while following directions on Google Maps.

However, their explanation failed to satisfy the locals, who were enraged by the trio’s disregard for the sanctity of the temple.

It is said that the youths brought their bike onto the veranda of the temple and also wore footwear, which is strictly forbidden.

Despite repeated questioning, the trio could not provide a clear and satisfactory reason for their presence in the temple. As a result, the police were called, and the youths were handed over to them.
