Mangaluru: Train schedule to be disrupted due to track maintenance work

Mangaluru: Passengers traveling on certain train routes between Mangalore’s Netravati Cabin and Mangalore Junction Station are advised to expect disruptions in service due to ongoing track maintenance work.

The Southern Railway has announced changes in the departure timings of several trains to accommodate the maintenance activities.

Notably, on May 3rd and 5th, train No. 16649 Mangalore Central Nagarakovil Parasurama Express will depart Mangalore Central at 5:35 am instead of the usual 5:05 am, resulting in a delay of 30 minutes. Similarly, train No.16610 Mangalore Central Kozhikode Express will depart at 5:45 am instead of 5:15 am on the same days, also delayed by 30 minutes.

On May 8th, Train No. 16649 Mangalore Central Nagarakovil Parasurama Express will depart at 6:35 am, delayed by 1 hour and 30 minutes. Additionally, train No. 22638 Westcoast Express scheduled to depart Mangalore Central on May 7th at 11:45 pm will now leave at 00:15 hrs on May 8th. However, service between Mangalore Central and Ullal stations has been canceled. Train No. 16610 Mangalore Central Kozhikode Express will now depart from Ullala station at 5:45 am instead of Mangalore Central at 5:15 am on May 8th.

Furthermore, the departure times of several other trains have been affected on various dates due to maintenance work. Passengers are advised to check with the railway authorities for the latest updates and revised schedules.
