It was alleged that the medical personnel at the community center had improperly treated the wound of a patient who met with an accident, requiring him to seek treatment at a private hospital. The victim, Purushothama, a railway employee and resident of Kalpure in Kodimbala village, alleged that his wounds were stitched up without properly cleaning them. Doctors at the private hospital later took out 14 stones lodged in the wound.
The DHO said that the doctors at Kadaba community Health center have informed him that the patient was given first aid and was informed to seek advanced treatment at a different hospital.
However, Purushothama denied the claim of the Kadaba health officials. He had not been told to seek additional medical help. He had visited the CHC twice when his wounds worsened. He had also taken the X-ray films to the CHC during that time. “I was never informed to visit a different hospital even then,” he added.
