During the period spanning from October 29 to November 15, the airport expects to witness a remarkable 26 percent increase in the number of flights. Presently serving 136 weekly flights, this number will rise to 172, further enhancing connectivity to and from Mangalore.
SpiceJet, for instance, is set to operate two daily flights to Bengaluru on all days except Tuesdays. This enhanced service will start on October 6, introducing an additional flight on Tuesdays.
Air India Express will join in on the action as well. Starting from November 15, the airline will operate two daily flights to Bangalore, with one of them offering a connection to Kannur or Thiruvananthapuram. IndiGo, another prominent airline, is expanding its services by introducing a fourth daily flight to Mumbai starting from December 3. Moreover, IndiGo will now operate five flights on the second and fourth Saturdays. In addition to its daily flight to Chennai, the airline plans to add four extra weekly flights. In the coming months, passengers can also anticipate new IndiGo routes connecting Mangalore to Patna, Ranchi, and Kolkata, set to begin by March next year.
