Speaking to reporters after conducting the site inspection, the minister informed that the consultancy firm has been given two months time to submit a detailed project report where after tenders will be floated for the project.
“The Rs 174 crore project, which forms part of Pashchima Vahini project and launched by the Siddaramaih-led Congress government has got administrative approval from the present government led by H D Kumaraswamy. The project will meet the long-standing demand of people for connecting Harekala and Adyar,” Puttaraju said adding that the project would most likely be executed in two years’ time.
District in-charge Minister UT Khader, who was accompanying Puttaraju, speaking to media persons reiterated that the proposed bridge atop the dam by connecting Harekala and Adyar will reduce the travelling time between the two spots by nearly 30 minutes.
