Minister Revanna’s quick pilgrimage in Karavali

Kundapur/Kollur/Dharmasthala: Karnataka chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, and JD(S) supremo, H D Deve Gowda, are busy saving the coalition government from imminent collapse, however the state PWD minister H D Revanna, who is also the other senior politician from the Gowda family visited different temples in karavali and offered special prayers and pujas on Sunday July 14.

Many speculations have taken birth in connection to this sudden visit to the temples by Revanna coinciding with the efforts being made to save the government.

The minster offered special puja at Kollur Goddess Mookambika temple and Hattiangady Lord Ganapathi temple on Sunday morning. Later speaking with the media, the minister insisted that he had cultivated the habit of visiting various temples and that his temple visits do not have anything to do with the current political crisis.

“This visit is purely devotional. It is not connected with politics. I have paid obeisance to the Goddess several times in the past. I get inspiration out of the energy vibes I get at this temple. I refuse to speak politics here. I have got the blessings of the Goddess,” he asserted.

Thereafter, Revanna visited Goddess Durgaparameshwari temple at Kateel and offered puja. The minister noticed media persons recording the scene of his accepting Prasadam from the priest, lost his cool and demanded that the recording be stopped. He also asked the police personnel accompanying him to make sure the recording is deleted.

Revanna went to Dharmasthala where he prayed to Lord Manjunatheshwara and offered special service to the deity in the evening. Later, he met Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade.

Speaking with the media at Dharmasthala the minister said that the survival or otherwise of the state government is in divine hands and that he had visited Dharmasthala to pray to the Almighty. He insisted that he does not want to speak about unhappy legislators.
