Missing deep sea trawler: Search continues

Malpe: The officials who have presumed that the mysteriously missing deep sea trawler Suvarna Tribhuja along with its crew of 7 fishermen has surely sunk after meeting with an accident are continuing their operation to gather even more information. The belief that the missing fishermen are alive, that someone has kept them as prisoners and are torturing them is also slowly losing its grip amongst the fishermen.

INS Sutlej, which is a survey ship from the Indian Navy, equipped with hydrographic technology has been scanning the sea bed since two weeks but no credible lead has yet been found. The report from the navy may be available in a couple of more days inform police sources.

A week’s deadline, fierce agitation

If no information is provided to us within a week’s period, a fierce agitation will be launched, warned the Uttara Kannada district fishermen at a press conference on Monday, informed Ganapati Mangre leader of the Uttara Kannada district fishermen.
