Speaking to presspersons after inaugurating the file clearance campaign of the Dakshina Kannada administration here on Saturday, the minister questioned why Congress was not discussing the hijab and saffron shawl controversy in the state assembly.
“They (Congress leaders) are protesting instead of holding discussions on issues of importance,” he alleged.
Crores of taxpayers’ money are spent on holding every assembly session, he said and added that Congress was doing injustice to the taxpayer by “sleeping on the floor” of the assembly.
