M’luru doctor teams for Kodagu, Kerala

Mangaluru: Teams of experienced and expert doctors from the various medical institution in Mangaluru will visit Kodagu and Kerala with the aim to provide medical assistance to the flood-affected people in the region.

A.J. doctors team for Kerala, Kodagu

Two expert doctors team from A.J. group of institutions have left for Kodagu and Kerala to provide assistance to the affected people in the region on August 21st.

The teams have been sent under the guidance of Dr. A.J. Shetty, president of A.J. group of institutions. The materials essential for the affected people has been collected and sent along with the doctors. Of them, a 12 member doctor team will go to Kodagu while a 10 member doctor team will go to Kerala. These teams are already providing service at Alappuzha in Kerala and in Kodagu.

Fr. Muller doctors team to give assistance in Kerala

On Thursday, a team of doctors from Fr. Muller Hospital has left for Kerala to provide assistance for the people affected by the floods and also to the volunteers giving service to the affected.

On Thursday evening, a team of 26 doctors and 35 people, left for Kerala. Free treatment will be provided to the affected in association with the parishes of Thalassery, Kozhikode and Kannur. They have also taken with them, essential equipment as well as essential materials for the affected, collected through Fr. Muller’s College.

On Thursday, the second phase of essential commodities has been sent. In the 3rd phase, the things have been sent to assist institutions in Kodagu.

“We are sending the team of doctors to Kerala to assist people in difficulty. Our aim is to respond to those in pain. The 35 people in the team have come forward by self-motivation,” said Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, Mangaluru Bishop.
