The results of a number of surveys have revealed that the BJP might not get a clear majority in the State, indicating a hung verdict in the State of Karanataka. This has forced Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address six more rallies, in addition to the planned 15. After his initial three rallies in the State, the BJP rescheduled his campaign to address a total of 21 rallies since the victory of the BJP is highly reliant on the Prime Minister.

A senior leader of the BJP said that Mr.Modi was their “best bet to galvanise the voters” because a Modi rally always creates a political wave, which is of utmost significance right now. He also clarified that this move was not a result of nervousness with regard to the elections, but a move to take the focus away from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Narendra Modi will address three allies in Kalaburagi, Ballari and Bengaluru on Thursday and will address four rallies each on Friday and Saturday. After a day’s break, he will address three rallies on Monday and four rallies on Tuesday. A concluding rally on May 9 in Bidar will witness the participation of BJP State President BS Yeddyurappa.
