Earlier the plan was to build a way for the devotees to go from the north gate of the temple courtyard to the dining hall and thence to the inner courtyard of the matha. Now half of the course will stay as it is and the other half will be changed.

According to the new plan, the bathroom complex built by Sri Vibudhesh Theertha Sripada during the first Paryaya of Adamaru matha’s Sri Vishwapriya Teertha in 1986-88 in the east of the Madhva pond will now be used for pilgrims for rest and will be known as the queue complex.

Under this new plan, a couple of bathrooms will be kept for the emergency needs of pilgrims.

From the queue complex, the pilgrims will move to the first floor and then proceed from the side of the Madhwa pond to the dining hall and reach the top of the sanctum sanctorum. On the way back, pilgrims can go to the dining hall for the bhojana or move out.

This new plan will give the pilgrims a view of the lake, car street and the Golden Tower from the queue complex.

Seating arrangements have also been made for pilgrim near the dining hall. Those with passes can enter from the grand gate without any hindrance.

“We have made some changes along the path to the darshan of the deity with the intention of giving information for the pilgrims coming from outside Udupi and also making it easy for all devotees. We have retained half of the existing darshan queue plans and changed the other half,” said Sri Eeshapriya Tertha Sripada, Paryaya Adamaru matha, Sri Krishna Math.

“I have been making frequent visits to the matha. Our police team will visit the matha and advise on how to strengthen the security system of the matha premises in the future,” said SP of Udupi district Vishnuvardhan.
