The bench directed that a senior IPS officer should be appointed by the State’s police chief to review the investigation of the case by the Jalahalli police. The appointed officer must check whether the investigation is being conducted properly or not. If there are any factors that can be investigated, they should be identified by the officer. Finally, the officer must submit a review report to the court in a sealed envelope by December 15.
