Nalin Kumar Kateel is definitely the candidate for LS polls: Matandoor

Puttur:  Party ticket for Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency is not available and the party will field its current MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, for the third time in a row from the constituency, clarified Sanjeeva Matandoor, president of BJP Dakshina Kannada district committee speaking at a press meet here on Monday February 25.

Speaking to media Matandoor said, “It is not surprising that there are many who want to fight the election with BJP ticket as BJP is the winning horse here. In last year’s assembly election too, there were many who wanted to fight the election as a BJP candidate. There were some who claimed that they had bagged the ticket. Comparatively, the competition this time is not as keen as last year,” he said.

Dakshina Kannada district unit of BJP has fully prepared itself to face the Lok Sabha election, said Matandoor and pointed out that 7 of the 8 assembly constituencies falling within Mangaluru Lok Sabha constituency were represented by BJP candidates. Besides Kota Srinivas Poojary is a member of the legislative council. He analysed that with BJP having in ZP, TP, city and town municipalities, the victory of the party was close at hand, he observed.
