The education policy aims at building a global best education system rooted in Indian ethos
One of the main features of the new education policy is replacing the 10+2 structure of school curriculum with a 5+3+3+4 curriculum structure corresponding to age groups 3-8, 8-11, 11-14, and 14-18 years respectively
Under the 5+3+3+4 system, kids in the age bracket of 3 to 6 will be brought under the pre-schooling and anganwadi system. The initial three years will be followed by two more years in grades 1 and 2 making it a total of five years. It is said that kids see maximum brain development in this age.
