Speaking on the issue on Sunday, April 28 Shettar said that the coalition government led by Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy passed a resolution and handed over the project without tender.

He further added that before the election, there was a collection of money from contractors and then the project was handed over to those from whom they benefitted.

“For all this, the project has been handed over to limited contractors through the land army. All this happened through Venkatesh, who is very close to Deve Gowda family,” he added.

It is gathered that Shettar along with his party has approached the Election Commission (EC) in this regard as a matter of model code of conduct (MCC) violation, which will be in force till May 23 and also requested EC to take action against those who violated it.
