Negative Covid report mandatory for people arriving from Maha, Kerala: Udupi DC

Udupi: Deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha on Monday, March 9 said that people arriving from Maharashtra and Kerala should mandatorily carry a negative COVID report that is no older than 72 hours.

Addressing presspersons Jagadeesha said, “People arriving from Maharashtra and Kerala should mandatorily carry a negative COVID report that is no older than 72 hours and those who travel to other states should undergo COVID tests once in 15 days.”

He further warned that cases will be registered against those who are arriving in the district without a negative COVID report.

“Anyone having information of people arriving from Maharashtra and Kerala without furnishing negative COVID reports should inform the authorities,” he added.

The DC also noted that most of the people in the city are seen violating COVID regulations believing that the disease has been eradicated. But it is not. Therefore the use of face mask, sanitisers and social distancing should be continued.
