Nine students who tested Covid positive to write exams at Covid care centre

Mangaluru: Ahead of the SSLC examination scheduled to be held on July 19 and 22, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel on Saturday, July 17 chaired a meeting at zilla panchayat here regarding the preparedness for smooth conduct of the exams.

A total of 32,696 students will appear for the examination, of which 9 have tested positive for Covid 19 and will undertake the exams at Covid care centre, informed DDPI Mallaya Swami.

On students arriving from Kerala via Talapady border to appear for the exam, the DDPI said that we have urged to operate four buses at Talapady border. Around 441 SSLC candidates will be appearing for examination from Kerala, of this 121 students will come via Talapady. Most of the sudents have demanded bus facility.

Speaking at the meeting zilla panchayat CEO Kumar informed that the examination will be conducted on OMR sheets this time and a mock test has been conducted for students convenience. “Model question papers have been sent to the students. We have made all arrangements for the smooth conduct of the examination,” he added.
