Earlier the BMRCL had planned to undertake the repair works between December22-23 but later postponed it keeping in mind the Christmas season.
According to a press release by BMRCL, the train services between Mysuru Road and MG Road, and Indira Nagar and Byappanahalli sections of the Purple Line will, however, will continue to be operational. The trains will ply at different headways ranging from 6 to 15 minutes. Services will be normal for the rest of the train network along the purple line.
On December 28, the trains leaving on or before 7:30 pm from Mysuru Road will run up to Byappanahalli and trains leaving Byappanahalli on or before 7:45 pm will run up to Mysuru Road. Following this, the trains which depart will be running between Mysuru Road and M G Road and Indiranagar and Byappanahalli stations.

To make up for the cancelled services, BMRCL will run free bus services between Cubbon Park station and Baiyappanahalli Station on December 28 night and on 29 and 30. “The bus services are planned for longer length for the convenience of commuters.” the release added.
