Who is to blame for empty state coffers: BJP reacts to Siddu's salvo

Bengaluru: Continuing his tirade against state BJP government, former Karnataka Chief minister Siddaramaiah on Friday said that BSY government has no moral right to stay in power after accepting bankruptcy.

Siddaramaiah in a tweet said: “After accepting that your govt has gone bankrupt, you have no moral right to stay in Power even for a single minute. Please resign & leave the office immediately. Don’t punish our people.”

His remarks came a day after BS Yediyurappa said that the state coffers were empty.

Meanwhile reacting to Siddaramaiah’s remarks, Karnataka BJP unit in a twitter post questioned him who was to be held responsible for the empty state treasury.

“This situation has arisen after five years of Congress governance followed by one-year of coalition governance,” it read.
