At the same time, Yeddyurappa posed three questions to Deve Gowda and sought answers from him. Yeddyurappa asked who was the person who questioned at Hubballi about contributions by the Lingayat chief ministers to north Karnataka? Who made the statement at Channapattna, asking people not to vote for the lure of caste and money? Who questioned the revenue contribution of north Karnataka to Karnataka state?
Yeddyurappa claimed that the irresponsible statements made by Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy had fuelled problems in north Karnataka. He asked Deve Gowda to advice his son Kumaraswamy to correct his follies instead of making allegations against him.
“We are not hungry for power. We will sit in the opposition and work there and discharge our responsibilities properly. The chief minister was expected to visit the spot and pacify the heads of Mutts and agitators who were sitting in dharna, alleging step-motherly treatment to north Karnataka. Instead of him I went there and talked to him,” pointed out BSY.
