Not sure whether Cong leaders are with Sampath Raj or Akhanda Srinivas?: Min R Ashok

Bengaluru: Minister R Ashok has questioned whether Congress leaders are in support of Sampath Raj or Akhanda Srinivas Murthy.

Speaking to reporters, he said that there was an attack on a dalit legislator’s house and an attempt was made to assassinate him. But neither Siddaramaiah nor any other leaders from the Congress have protested for the arrest of those responsible for the incident. This proves that Congress only sheds crocodile tears for dalits.

“Akhanda Srinivas Murthy pleaded with Congress leaders to support him and give him justice. However, Congress did not provide him with any help,” he added.

Speaking on the flood relief package from the Centre, he said that the Centre has released Rs 577 crore and will be releasing another instalment soon. We will appeal for more flood relief package. However, the government has no shortage of funds for relief work.
