Since the medical science or the eye doctors are not able to restore your vision as there is no treatment or remedy available, many patients turn to alternative options like Electro Magnetic Stimulus, Ozone Therapy, Acupuncture, Tantric Babas, etc., who make false promises for cure and regain of sight as a result the patient and their family lose their wealth and end up in disappointment.

In fact, even the committee members of INDIAN ASSOCIATION FOR THE VISUALLY HANDICAPPED personally affected with RP and Macular Degeneration had undergone similar treatments and therefore caution to the public not to fall for such treatments and instead take the support of Assistive Technology.

Though several efforts are being made worldwide by the top scientists experimenting continuously on treatments like stem cell therapy, insertion of microchips in the eyes etc., but still these are in clinical testing stages and none of them have come up with a breakthrough for practical viable solutions.

Since medical science does not have a solution for such patients, they experience traumatic situations causing depression as they have to discontinue studies, lose their job, give up their occupation or profession, etc.

Unfortunately, many eye doctors are not aware and therefore are not able to guide patients regarding Assistive Devices that can help them to continue their life by providing the facility of being able to see again in magnified form or listen to text read aloud based on the residual vision condition.

These devices can be a life-changer for such low vision & visually impaired persons! A wide range of assistive technologies, developed worldwide, are available that help to counteract different eye conditions and enable one to perform a variety of tasks that were not possible otherwise or difficult to manage such as:
