On duty lineman electrocuted to death in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a lineman was electrocuted and another sustained injuries after they came in contact with a high tension wire while installing electric poles in Nelamangala.

The deceased is identified as Madhu (22), from Chitradurga. He was working with BESCOM on a contract basis.

The injured lineman is, Manju and he is being treated at a hospital.

As per the sources the incident occurred at around at Gangegowdanapalya village in Mahimapura, where electric poles were being erected. The linemen were standing on a vehicle to set up the poles and failed to notice a high tension wire above them.
