The Ministry of Human Resource Development, responding to a request put forth by Chief Minister Kumaraswamy, gave its consent to conduct the re-exam for the benefit of those students who missed the May 5 exam for no fault of theirs.
Nearly 500 students from North Karnataka, who travelled in Hampi Express from Hubli to Mysuru via Koppal, Hospet and Bellary, reached Bengaluru at around 2.36 p.m instead of the scheduled arrival time of 7.00 a.m. The test had commenced at 2.00 p.m.
The last date to register for the second round was May 10. The students were asked to submit their application along with copies of their admission tickets and train tickets.
