Operation to trap leopard halted at Mysuru’s Infosys campus

Mysuru: The operation to capture a leopard spotted in Mysuru’s Infosys campus has been halted as of Tuesday.

Over the last 10 days, Forest department officials had undertaken extensive search operations including camera traps, drones, CCTV footage but no signs of the leopard’s movement or presence were detected.

Deputy Forest Conservator Dr. K.N. Basavaraju from the Mysuru Forest Division confirmed the decision to suspend the operation.

Recommendations for enhanced security measures and precautions at the Infosys campus have been provided to prevent similar incidents. It has been advised to maintain continuous surveillance using thermal drones during nighttime.
