Speaking to the reporters, Sudhakar said, ” Central government has sent a total of 120 tonnes of medical oxygen in six containers. The central government has supported the state in all possible ways. If the oxygen produced in the state is distributed within the state, then there would be no transport problem. It takes 3-4 days for the oxygen to reach here via train. We have discussed the issue with Union Minister Piyush Goyal and the  it will be sorted soon. Around 125 to 150 tonnes will be allocated to the state”

He further said, ” Oxygen is supplied to the districts on the basis of demand. Around 30 ventilators have been provided to Dakshina Kannada district. Currently, 150 ventilators are in Dakshina Kannada. Also, 50 ventilators have been sent to Hassan district”

“People need to cooperate with the government. It will be hard for us to work if people keep on criticizing the government’s every move. It takes 14 days to reduce the covid infection. People need to cooperate during this time period. One must stay at home and follow all the rules,” he added
