The protest was held under the aegis of Students Federation of India (SFI).

Addressing the protestors, SFI District President Charan Shetty urged the DC to intervene in this matter that has inconvenienced the students enrolled at the institute.

Alleging that the district medical officer Dr. Rajeshwaridevi had the least concern for the students, CITU district secretary Sunil Kumar Bajal questioned why approval had been given to start the course at the hospital if it was lacking both in facilities as well as teaching faculty.

SFI district secretary Madhuri Bolar and others were present.
