Speaking to the reporters here, DC said, ” As the district is facing a shortage of Covid-19 vaccines, several are waiting to receive their second dose of vaccination. Hence, those will be given first priority”

He further said, ” All must take online appointments for the first dose of vaccine, there is no scope for on the spot registration for vaccination. Appointments will be given as per the availability of vaccination. A message will be sent by the concerned hospital or health centre after which people can go to take the vaccination. We will receive sufficient doses of vaccination in one or two days,” he said.

Also, a memorandum was submitted to DC by Congress’ delegation led by former MLA Ramanath Rai and J R Lobo  regarding rising Covid cases in the district. The memorandum also included 12 measures to deal with the pandemic.
