The microblogging platform also hailed this tweet as 'Golden Tweet' in India.
In the world of sports, Virat Kohli wishing M.S. Dhoni on his birthday became the most retweeted tweet. This tweet won the hearts of many cricket fans as it had a photo of Kohli with former Indian Captain in it.
In the Entertainment segment, Tamil Actor Vijay's tweet sharing post of his film Bijil became the most commented and retweeted post in India.
In hashtags, #loksabhaelections2019 became the highest used hashtag, followed by #chandrayaan2, #cwc19, #pulwama and #article370.
ISRO's Chandrayan-2 mission was one of the highest trending events of the year as Twitteratis were buzzing with hashtag, #Chandrayaan2. This event highlighted India's technological contribution to space research and had the world tweeting on this occasion.
Among most mentioned twitter handles in politics, Union Minister Smriti Irani topped the chart followed by Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, followed by former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the respective order.
