Police Arrest 3 for Distributing Fake Aadhar Cards in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Police arrested three persons for distributing Aadhar cards for unknown persons by submitting forged documents to avail the facility. The trio arrested have been identified as Mohan Kumar, Pradeep Kumar and Mallappa. The police have been searching for retired government official Devaraj who allegedly helped the trio to distribute fake identity cards.

The accused reportedly charge Rs 500 to Rs 1000 for an Aadhar card to distribute the same to any unidentified person. The gang used to print fake letter heads to prepare recommendation letters in the name of state education department former gazetted officer Devaraj. Devaraj signed such recommendation letters to obtain cash from Mohan Kumar.

Mohan Kumar had been running an Aadhar centre with necessary permit in Yelahanka to distribute Aadhar cards. Pradeep Kumar was a data entry operate in the centre whereas Mallappa worked as a middleman to supply unknown persons who require an identity card.  Meanwhile, another accused Devaraj used to sign the recommendation letters. 

The officials from Aadhar head office raided the Aadhar centre owned by Mohan Kumar after they received suspicious recommendation letters. The police department has been investigating the case for further information.
