Private buses not stopping at bus bay complained as caller from Kulur and added about the nuisance cased to pedestrians by vehicles being parked on either sides of the road.
Another call from Surathkal complained about some youths consuming ganja close to Suratkal railway station and in response, the Police commissioner Sandeep Patil said, “This is good information that you have shared. We will act on it immediately.”
Responding to the complaint of a caller from Attavar complaining about the vehicles being parked on the footpaths and also about garages repairing vehicles on the roadside Mr Patil said, “This is one of the major issues. Not just in Attavar or Falnir, but in other parts of the city also garages are seen repairing vehicles on the roadside. We will order our police officials to take action against such garages.”

A caller from Urwa store complained about buses being parked for long opposite Infosys building creating nuisance to the public and to other buses which are supposed to stop at the bus bay to which Mr Patil instructed traffic police to visit to the spot, review the situation and take necessary action.
Responding to a complaint of a caller from Alake regarding a footpath that was covered with load of sand and construction materials the Police Commissioner asked the police official to visit to the spot and book a case.
A total of 27 calls were received during this phone-in programme held every Friday. The callers submitted their grievances to the police commissioner directly by calling on 0824-2220530 or 0824-2220201 from 10 am to 11 am.
