The PM will be arriving to the city in a car from the airport and in this backdrop, the potholes in ridden road is getting a new look. The 1km stretch of the road from MIA to the main road is ripe with potholes and presently is undergoing repair work. Re-asphalting work is being done her by the Public Works Department (PWD) since the last two days. Besides the numerous potholes along the road leading to Mangaluru is being patched up. The repair work is being done in view of security. The work will be carried out on Wednesday and Thursday.
Cars will come on train!
PM Modi will be reaching MIA on a special plane on April 13th. Later he will arrive at Nehru Maidan in Mangaluru in an armored car. Hence, the car transporting the PM will be brought to Mangaluru by train. Previously once, it was brought in a plane. Other times it was brought through the train itself.

2 time rehearsal
Complete bandobast has been done along the road leading from MIA to Nehru Maidan. In the backdrop of security, a rehearsal will be conducted along the route a day before the arrival of PM. PM’s vehicle as well as the escort vehicles will move along the route from MIA to Nehru Maidan. On April 13th too, a rehearsal will be conducted before the arrival of the special plane to MIA.
Special security force to reach Mangaluru today
In the backdrop of PM’s visit to the city on April 13th, the officials of the special security force responsible for the security of the PM will reach Mangaluru from New Delhi on a preliminary basis on April 10th. The officials’ team will conduct inspection along their way from MIA to Nehru Maidan in the city, informed police sources.
