Dakshina Kannada district administration had earlier stated that the pilgrims travelling from Kerala to Mangaluru must have a negative RT-PCR test report.
Addressing the issue the MLA said that though there is a rule that a negative RT-PCR test report which is no older than 72 hours is a must to cross the border, rapid antigen tests are being arranged on the border for pilgrims who do not have the report.
Meanwhile, the DC assured Ashraf that precautions would be taken to prevent issues that were faced by the people of Kerala the last time around.
