Recently, Subhreet recreated her famous audition performance, which has garnered more than four million views on Facebook.

Subhreet  is resident of Jhundan village, Amargarh, Sangrur District in Punjab. Kaur lost her leg in a road accident on 21 October 2009, while riding her scooter. To prevent the infection from spreading, the doctors had to amputate her leg.

A year later, she joined a gym to improve her muscle strength and stamina. By 2012 she could dance on one leg. Later, she joined an academy in Chandigarh for a dance course.

In 2014, she participated in IGT and was the runner-up that season.

But she had to face a lot of trouble in her personal life. She got married to a man named Yash Makkar. After two months of marriage she charged her husband with sexual harassment.

Makkar took Rs 20 lakh from her, saying he has to repay his father debt besides withdrawing Rs 1.45 lakh from her account.

He also demanded Rs 6 lakh. When she refused, he said that he married an amputee for money.

However, her husband claimed that she was demanding a huge amount for divorce but it later proved to be false.

She had gained a lot of weight after her emotional crisis and in 2019, she posted her weighloss journey on social media.

Subhreet claims that social media has helped her spread positive vibes and encourage others who believe that disability is a hindrance to achieving goals.
