The report said that the price of tomatoes has increased to Rs 80/kg as the city gets tomatoes supply from Kolar, Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagara and Chikkaballapur that witnessed heavy rains.

The retail price of other vegetables like beans and brinjal has increased to 40 Rs per kg and 90 Rs per kg respectively.

The produce is rotting in fields and the non-availability of labourers has further aggravated the problem.
