The rule will be implemented in all the 32 revenue villages coming within MCC limits. This is compulsory from January. In the initial month, it will be compulsorily implemented in 2 villages and in the next 2 months it will cover all the villages. Document collection will be initiated from the month of October and the information will also available on the website, he said.
Additional staff has been appointed and property owners need to submit property papers by January to procure PR Card. The public cooperation is required for the plans effective implementation, informed the DC.
In the coming days, PR Card will be considered an official document and compulsory for property dealings. Hence, PR Card will be a complete document in relation to the property. UPOR Card will be available for apartments too, informed Mr Senthil.

Property Card is also called the Urban Property Ownership Record (UPOR), is a computerized document. The card includes the format of the property, documents of the property, loan obligation and details of the property map. It also includes the name of the city, ward name and number and the name of the owner of the property. Every property will have a separate UPOR number and barcode. This card is given as per rule 83 (2), chapter 12 of Karnataka Land Revenue Act of 1966.
