Puttur: 31-year-old commits suicide days before engagement ceremony

Puttur: A 31-year-old man committed suicide on Sunday, November 21 at his residence in Sulliapadavu, Shabarinagara.

The deceased has been identified as Raviraj (31), son of Koosappa Poojary.

It is said that his engagement was fixed and was to be held in a few days. Raviraj’s family was busy preparing for the housewarming ceremony of his brother when he went inside the bathroom and hanged himself.

The reason for this extreme step is yet to be known. A case has been registered.
