The fair has been jointly organised by the Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative Ltd. (Campco), Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Vivekananda Polytechnic and Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd. (DKMUL) and the fourth edition of the fair will be conducted on the college premises.
CAMPCO president addressed media on Thursday and said that in addition to showcasing latest technology related to farming, the fair was aimed at attracting youngsters to agriculture.
The fair will include seminars on backyard farming, value addition in farming, farming as a profession, profitability in dairy farming, and low-cost housing. Four persons who have switched over to farming from other professions will speak on Saturday afternoon.

Model of low-cost house
A low-cost house model will be on display during the fair. The exhibited model is a two-bed room house with an area of 600 sq. ft. It has been built within six days at a cost of about Rs 6 lakh by using pre-cast materials.
A low-cost cow shed model will be showcased by DKMUL during the fair.
Along with the farm machines, there are a variety of stalls at the fair including building materials, house construction, automobiles, nurseries, seeds, food, and other commercial materials for the visitors to visit.
Visit the chocolate factory
Mr Rao informed that the visitors can visit the CAMPCO chocolate factory on the occasion and a bus facility has been arranged to visit the factory from the fair venue.
