Puttur: Madrassa teacher booked under POCSO Act

Puttur: A madrasa teacher has been arrested for alleged sexual exploitation of two minor girls at the Kundadka in Puttila village in Beltangady taluk.

The accused identified as Ustad Sirajuddin Madani, teacher of Samshul Huda Madrassa has been booked under the POCSO Act.

The victims narrated their ordeal to their mothers who in turn lodged a complaint at the women’s police station in the city.

Madani was produced before a court in Mangaluru which remanded him to judicial custody.
