A report in local media said that the matter pertains to the land belonging to the Kinya Higher Primary School, which was established on 2 acres of government land. The villagers alleged that about 97 cents has been illegally encroached by a person living beside the school land.
They also allege that the revenue officials of colluding with the private individual in preparing false documents to show ownership. The person in question has also converted a part of the land and has started building a house in the disputed land, the report said.
Since 2015, the villagers have been running from pillar to post to get back the school’s land. However, as nothing has materialized in the past 7 years, the villagers said they decided to write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
