The court disposed of a batch of petitions filed by private unaided schools against the order passed by the State Government restraining them from collecting fees for the academic year 2020-21, in excess of 70 per cent of the tuition fees.
As per the order, the school management must not debar any student from attending classes or withhold exam results due to non-payment of fees, arrears or outstanding fees including instalments.
However, the High Court has not issued any order regarding the fees for private schools for the current academic year.
