Mysuru: “Let Congress solve the confusion within them first. KPCC president DK Shivakumar is trying to bring down Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah, while Siddaramaiah is trying to bring down Shivakumar. To hide this fact, they are making statements about change of chief minister,” said Cooperation and Mysuru district in-charge minister ST Somashekhar.

“There will be no change of chief minister for any reason. Siddaramaiah is only trying to save his chair,” added the minister who was responding to a question from reporters during a visit to the hostel of a medical college here.

“The victory of BJP candidates in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Sira assembly constituency is one hundred per cent sure. We know that there is a Muniratna wave. While 50% of those who voted did so for the development brought about by Muniratna and the other 50% voted for the BJP,” he said.

“The Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar factions are waiting for the Congress to lose the assembly by-elections and the four seats in the Legislative Council. Only after that can one blame the other for the loss and pressure for the resignation of the other. The talent of ousting one from power has always been in the Congress,” replied Somashekar to another query.
