Raichur Crosses 43.3 Degree Celsius; Other North Karnataka Districts Follow Same Trend

Bengaluru: Many of the districts in Karnataka have recorded more than 40 degree Celsius (dc) temperature on Thursday and people have started to remain at their residence following steep rise in the temperature. Raichur district has recorded maximum temperature of 43.3 dc on Thursday.

The districts Bellary, Kalburgi, Chitradurga, Bagalkot, Vijayapura, Mandya, Mysuru, Chikkaballapur, Tumkur, Koppal, Belgavi and other areas have recorded above 40 dc temperatures.  Hot wind flow from Madhya Pradesh and Odisha, lack of clouds and others factors have been supporting to raise the temperature in Karnataka especially in North Karnataka, the expert said. Bagalkot has also recorded above 40 degree Celsius temperature even if it witnessed good rainfall recently. The temperature is expected to move up in most of the districts of North Karnataka further this summer, the experts opine.
