The districts Bellary, Kalburgi, Chitradurga, Bagalkot, Vijayapura, Mandya, Mysuru, Chikkaballapur, Tumkur, Koppal, Belgavi and other areas have recorded above 40 dc temperatures. Hot wind flow from Madhya Pradesh and Odisha, lack of clouds and others factors have been supporting to raise the temperature in Karnataka especially in North Karnataka, the expert said. Bagalkot has also recorded above 40 degree Celsius temperature even if it witnessed good rainfall recently.
