As per an official release, the girl was consulting a doctor in Pune and her relatives there were not given permission to travel due to lockdown.

The family approached Angadi seeking help in this regard and after the meeting, the Minister informed the railway officials in Pune to arrange for transport of medicines.
The family brought medicines to Pune Railway station and from there the staff ensured to transport the medicines to Belagavi the very next day.
Due to increasing numbers of lockdown, all the mode of travel towards the railway station is locked. Hence, the South Western Railway staff took the medicine close to the girl’s home.
