Mangaluru/Udupi: Good rain was reported from some places in Dakshina Kannada district on Wednesday as well. Rain accompanied by thunder and lightning was experienced in Subrahmanya and Sullia taluks. There was slight drizzling in the morning at Brahmavar in Udupi district.
Subrahmanya received rain with lightning. There was good rain in Kollamugru area. Sullia experienced rain in the afternoon, which reduced and then started again in the evening.
Good rain was reported from Aranthodu, Guttigaru an Panja areas while rain was reported in the evening from Bellare and Nintikallu regions. There was drizzling in Belthangady taluk. It was sunny till afternoon in Mangaluru and towards the evening, the sky turned cloudy.
Possible rain for another 2 days
It is normal to have a sunny afternoon and rain in the evening before the arrival of monsoon. Rain accompanied by thunder may be experienced in the district for the next two days, informed the experts from Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC).
